HOW THE GREAT RACE WORKS
🏁 THE PREMISE
The Great Race is a single, branded contest between 18 tokens. Every token races on the same track toward the same finish line: a market-cap milestone. Whichever racer crosses first wins the round — and rewards every holder of that token in a shared prize currency, $KART.
🪙 THE PRIZE TOKEN
$KART is the prize pot — not a racer. It exists only to absorb buybacks. Trading fees from every one of the 18 racers are funnelled into the open market and used to purchase $KART. Those bought-back tokens sit in the pot until the next finish line is crossed.
🎯 THE THREE FINISH LINES
The race is run three times in a row, with the bar getting higher each time:
- [1] First to $1M market cap wins Phase 1
- [2] Race restarts. First to $10M market cap wins Phase 2
- [3] Race restarts. First to $100M market cap wins Phase 3
Three different winners. Three different payouts. The same 18 racers competing the whole way.
💸 HOW HOLDERS GET PAID
When a racer crosses the finish line of any phase, the entire $KART pot collected during that phase is distributed evenly to every holder of the winning token at the moment of the win. Hold more of the winning racer, get more of the pot.
⛽ THE FUEL
Every buy and sell on every one of the 18 racers contributes trading fees back to the pot. So a token climbing fast doesn't just race against its own market cap — it actively grows the prize that the eventual winner walks away with. Bigger pots = more reasons to keep racing.
🔁 THE RESTART
After a phase is won, market caps don't reset — but the goalposts move. The race continues from wherever each racer sits, just chasing the next checkpoint. Each phase has its own fresh pot, accumulated only from fees during that phase.
